1979 yılında İskenderun’da doğan ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesini 2003 yılında bitiren Dr.Şerefoğlu, aynı yıl İstanbul Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi A.B.D.’da ihtisas eğitimine başladı. Haziran 2004 tarihinden sonra Ankara Atatürk Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Üroloji Bölümünde ihtisasına devam etti ve Nisan 2009’da üroloji uzmanı oldu. Dr. Şerefoğlu 2014 yılında "üroloji doçenti", 2019 yılında "üroloji profesörü" ünvanı almaya hak kazandı.
